Our standards for independence, sourcing, accuracy, AI use and commercial relationships.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team. No retailer reviews articles before publication or has veto power over rankings. Every retailer’s score is produced by the same process.
Sourcing
Facts about retailers come from primary sources: the retailer’s own policy pages, published financial filings, and our own same-day price sampling. We link the policy pages we relied on in the “Sources & verification” block of every article. We do not repeat claims from other review sites.
Accuracy
Every dollar figure on this site comes from our verified price data set. Our publishing system rejects any article containing a price that is not in that data set. Numeric claims about retailers (return windows, warranty terms) are checked against the retailer’s published policy at the time of verification.
Editorial process
Drafts are reviewed by a named editor, checked against the verified data set, and approved by an experienced diamond shopper before publication. No ranking is published without that review.
Commercial relationships
We do not run affiliate links, and links to retailers are plain links with no tracking parameters.
Retailers we cover
We cover the largest US online diamond retailers that we are able to price on identical specifications: Rare Carat, Blue Nile, James Allen and Brilliant Earth. We mention other national chains and local jewelers where relevant, without scoring them.
